1. How to install Python 2.7 in Linux

Download the source from here:

http://python.org/ftp/python/2.7/Python-2.7.tgz

Then, use terminal and do:

tar xzf Python-2.7.tgz

cd Python-2.7

./configure

make

sudo make altinstall
